alex and colin
This wedding was one of those magical unicorns that was so chill, yet so perfect. When this couple first came to me, they had discovered LLW through a one time ad I had posted on a blog called A Practical Wedding. The whole blog’s philosophy is designed around investing in and creating an event that celebrates your priorities and values. I knew as soon as they said they were fans of the blog, they were my kind of people!
Throughout the planning process, I didn’t hear from these two much (they hired LLW for consulting and month-of services). However, when I did hear from them, I was delighted to learn that they had booked another one of my favorite vendors. Towards the end of planning, when they got to the design part of planning, they decided to leave it to our team to design the flowers and decor. They didn’t have a huge budget for this (since it wasn’t one of their priories), but WOW it ended up turning out so pretty!
The wedding day itself was the best! First of all, this wedding was in January. Typically this is the rainy season in Hawaii, but on this day the sky was clear, the sun was out, and there was a lovely cool breeze. During the ceremony, several of the couple’s friends sang and played guitar for the processional. The groom surprised the guests by joining them once he got to the alter and he sang as the bride entered. During the reception, the MC came up with the most creative buffet table release I’ve ever seen. Each table had to serenade the bride and groom with a love song in order to get their dinner. The entire group loved it! By the end of the night, every single guest was on the dance floor. It was a wonderful night with a really great group of people, guests and vendors alike.
