pamela and devin
This particular wedding is extra special! Pamela, the bride happens to be one of our team members. I met her when she was the maid of honor at one of our client’s wedding in 2018. She was the most helpful and appreciative bridesmaid I had ever encountered and when she told me that she loved planning events, I knew she would make a great addition to our team. I am so thrilled she took my job offer!
Pamela and her fiance, both living on Oahu, had a large guest list. In an effort to be conscientious of their budget, they came up with a great plan to include everyone in their celebration. They chose to have their ceremony and a cocktail hour style reception at Sunset Ranch, their dream venue. Afterwards, the immediate family was invited back to a beach front property where they enjoyed a casual reception with tasty Hawaiian food prepared by the bride’s uncle.
On the wedding day, the wedding party got ready at the ranch while our team set up. Pamela had designed and created majority of the arrangements herself (using the skills she learned working on our floral team), but on the wedding day Jayna and I finished arranging the epic arch piece for the ceremony. It was so much fun collaborating with Pamela. My favorite memory of the day is when she peeked out of her bridal suite to see how the set up was going. She was so excited and happy!
As a seasoned planner, I don’t often get teary eyed getting my clients down the aisle, but you better believe I had more than one happy tear streaming down my face for this one. Pamela looked stunning in her dress and I couldn’t have been happier for her.
After the ceremony, the guests were invited to sip cocktails, enjoyed pupus and marvel over the spectacular view. Towards the end of the gathering, the bride and groom had their first dance, danced with their parents and listened to some lovely heartfelt toasts. Right as the guests left and the bride and groom were about to depart, the most spectacular sunset made an appearance! The photographer and videographer were all packed up and about to leave, but the colors were too epic not to capture. The impromptu encore portrait session was a perfect way to end the evening.
