It’s not often, but every once in a while, couples will initially hire us for our Maid of Honor for Hire service and then when it gets down to crunch time, they decide they need to upgrade to our Full Shebang service. This is exactly what happened with these two. They lived in the UK and planning a wedding all the way on the other side of the world required more help than they initially anticipated. We were more than happy to oblige, especially since they had phenomenal taste.

The first thing that we LOVED was that the couple appreciated design as much as we do. Working with them to curate “the look” was so much fun. We ended up combining moody colors, edgy Aussie floral designs and hints of tropical elements.

On the wedding day they had a live band flown over from Kauai to play for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. For the cocktail hour they had a “create your own poke bar” and hibiscus mai tais. We kicked off the reception with a dance party immediately after the bride and groom were introduced into the reception space. Each course of the plated dinner was welcomed with a toast from a loved one. Once the bride and groom were invited onto the dance floor for their first dance, a rain cloud opened up over the reception tent and made for the coziest and most romantic moment.
