Kathy & Justin’s Lanikūhonua Wedding: Bold Color, Personal Touches & So Much Joy

Bride & Groom take natural, candid photos with their wedding party in bright colors.

Kathy and Justin’s wedding was the kind of celebration that makes our hearts sing—joyful, personal, and unapologetically full of color. As full-shebang clients who also hired us for floral design, they entrusted us with every detail, from early-stage planning to event-day execution. Helping them bring their Hawaii destination wedding to life was such an honor.

Their wedding took place at Lanikūhonua Phase 1, one of our favorite Oʻahu wedding venues. With sweeping ocean views, swaying palms, and golden-hour light that feels almost cinematic, the setting is already magical—but Kathy and Justin brought even more beauty and meaning to it.

From the beginning, they knew they wanted a celebration that felt vibrant, playful, and full of heart. We leaned into that vision with periwinkle linens, colorful statement florals, and joyful details that added energy to every corner of the venue. One of our favorite design moments? A stunning hanging floral installation and a trio of chandeliers—expertly installed by Pacific Party Rentals—that became the perfect focal point above the reception tables.

This wedding also gave us a chance to play with some truly fun, cohesive custom graphic design elements. Kathy and Justin’s love for their dog Harley (and dogs in general!) inspired several charming, personalized touches throughout the day. From welcome signage to paper goods, each detail was infused with personality and tied beautifully into the overall design. (We’re so excited to be offering more of this soon—stay tuned for updates on our custom wedding design services in Hawaii!)

As always, it takes a talented team to bring a wedding like this to life. Guests enjoyed fantastic bar service from STIR Beverage, delicious food from Island Fusion Catering, and a sweet popsicle surprise from Pop Culture (founded by a friend of the groom—how cute is that?). The couple’s elegant cake was crafted by A Cake Life, and the evening ended with joyful dancing led by Toshi from Spectrum Entertainment.

Kathy and Justin’s wedding was a dream—full of laughter, love, and thoughtful design that made it truly their own. We’re so grateful to have been part of it, and we hope this gallery leaves you feeling inspired for your own Oʻahu wedding celebration.
