anne and nigel
When this couple was searching for a wedding planner, they knew they wanted someone who was easy going, but was capable of executing multiple events throughout their wedding week. After being initially drawn in by our Instagram and their love for our colorful aesthetic, they ultimately booked LLW for our Full Shebang and Floral services for their welcome dinner, rehearsal dinner and wedding day. The bride’s mother was extremely passionate about providing their guests with the ultimate Hawai’i wedding experience and we were so happy to collaborate with her to make it happen.
Their wedding week started with a Luau themed welcome reception. We leaned in to a more fun and casual tropical design aesthetic for this day. From the lei seating wall, stunning tropical table arrangements, flower crown making station, luau show, cocktails, and the mouthwatering dinner, it was truly the perfect start for the week ahead!
The wedding day was absolutely perfect with gorgeous weather on the often tumultuous North Shore of Oahu! With both the couple and all of their guests staying at Turtle Bay, the morning was began quite relaxed. While the couple got ready in their respective suites, our team turned a remote sandy field into a stunning location to celebrate the big day.
Although there are many unique and mention worthy highlights to the event, here are a few of our favorites. The couple opted for a special bottle of wine for the guests to sign in leu of a traditional guestbook with the idea being that they would crack it open for their first wedding anniversary. The ceremony setup was GORGEOUS, from the twenty foot growing aisle arrangements to the lush arched altar and the beautiful cane back chairs. The string quartet created the perfect ambiance, the perfect addition to a heartfelt ceremony.
During the cocktail hour, we wanted to create a stunning sitting area for the guests to mingle and enjoy each other’s company. One thing we always try and do for all of our client’s events is to incorporate a bit of their personality into the aesthetic. This couple loved Wordle, so we absolutely had to include a Wordle inspired seating chart into the evening.
We kickstarted the reception portion of the night with one of our all time favorite wedding traditions, a champagne tower. We were particularly thrilled with how the design of the reception space came together. We partnered with a calligrapher to created the fun dinner menus and our floral team created an epic hanging arrangement above the dance floor. Guests enjoyed an intimate, beachside candlelight dinner before the program began and the rest of the night was spending with dancing and enjoying each other’s company.
It was an absolute honor to be able to execute multi day celebration and we loved getting to know this couple and their wonderful family and friends.
