katrina and barry
I knew right away after meeting with this bride that this wedding was going to one of a kind! The bride had so many really cool unique ideas she wanted to bring into her wedding to create a tropical, Victorian, romantic vibe. She loved white marble Greek statues, moody Dutch still life paintings, and wanted to pay an homage to the grooms Chinese heritage by incorporating traditional Chinoiseries ceramics.
The wedding day was as dreamy as can be with flowy dinning canopies, crystal chandeliers, and a classical guitar music. The florals were modeled after Dutch still life paintings. And although a rain cloud forced us to push things back, we got creative and captured family photos before the ceremony instead of afterwards.
The couple really wanted it to feel like an intimate dinner party with close family and friends so they opted for a low key reception program. One of my favorite times during the reception was when the DJ opened the mic up to whomever wanted to make a toast to the newlyweds. The heartfelt and in the moment speeches that resulted were some of my favorite. Overall, I am in love with the entire design and romantic vibes of the day!
