allie and pete
This darling couple hired us to help guide them and coordinate their dream destination wedding. They weren’t able to visit at all during the planning process, so they need someone who was familiar with their chosen venue and understood the aesthetic they were trying to achieve. Lucky for us, we were a perfect fit and ultimately they ended up hiring us for our floral design services as well!
One thing that we especially appreciated about this couple is that they were both highly invested in the design of their event. The bride had a clear vision about the floral style that she loved and the groom, a professional photographer, put a lot of thought into choosing elements that would photograph well.
The wedding took place at Hale Nanea, a serene tropical peninsula located on a historic fish pond on a beautiful late summer afternoon. There ceremony was set up under the shade of a massive monkey pod tree overlooking the pond. Guests arrived and snapped poloriod photos of themselves to add to a custom made guest book. Local organic fruit flavored shaved ice was served while everyone took in the view and waited for the ceremony to begin. The officiant sang and played Ukulele as the wedding party entered and performed a heartfelt ceremony.
During the cocktail hour, the guests played lawn games while they sipped tropical cocktails and nibbled on island inspired appetizers. For dinner, instead of opting for a traditional plated meal, the bride and groom chose three fun food stations; a taco bar, a whole roast pig carving station and live action saute station featuring fresh local fish. In order for guests to be released to the food stations, the MC asked the guests fun trivia questions about the couple. The rest of the night was spent enjoying loving speeches, sentimental dances and ultimately dancing the night away.
